This policy covers items you buy from us. Rentals and trial bookings are covered separately by our Rental Terms.
1. Changing your mind — your 14-day right
Because you are buying online, you have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving any reason. The 14 days run from the day you, or someone you nominate, takes delivery of the goods.
To cancel, tell us in writing before the 14 days are up — email info@exowalk.ie, or use the cancellation form at the end of this policy. Any clear statement is fine. Simply posting the goods back without telling us first is not enough.
Once you have told us, send the goods back within a further 14 days.
2. Who pays what
- You pay the cost of sending the goods back to us. Within Ireland this is approximately €15 using DPD. You are welcome to return the item to us in person instead, at no cost.
- We refund the price you paid for the item, plus the standard delivery charge you originally paid. If you chose a faster or more expensive delivery option, we refund the amount our standard service would have cost.
3. Condition of returned goods
You are free to handle the exoskeleton as you would in a shop — unpack it, try it on, check the fit, switch it on. If you go beyond that and the value of the goods is reduced as a result, we may deduct a reasonable amount from your refund. If we do, we will tell you how we worked the figure out.
Please send back everything that came in the box: batteries, charger, carry case, manual and any accessories.
4. When you get your money back
Within 14 days of us receiving the goods back, or of you giving us proof that you have sent them — whichever happens first. We refund to the payment method you used. We do not charge a fee for this.
5. If something is faulty, damaged or not as described
This is separate from the 14-day right above, and it lasts a great deal longer.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, what we sell you must match its description, be fit for purpose, be of satisfactory quality and last a reasonable time. If it does not:
| When the problem appears | What you can ask for |
|---|---|
| Within 30 days | A refund, a repair, or a replacement — your choice |
| After 30 days, within 6 years | A repair or replacement first. If that fails, is impossible, or would cause you significant inconvenience, then a price reduction or a refund |
For the first 12 months, if a fault appears we treat it as having been there when you received the item. You do not have to prove anything.
We pay all costs of returning, collecting and repairing faulty goods — you are never out of pocket for a fault. Email info@exowalk.ie with your order number and a short description. Photos or a few seconds of video usually save a lot of back and forth.
6. The manufacturer's warranty
HyperShell provides its own warranty on its products in addition to your legal rights. Ask us for the current terms before you buy and we will give them to you in writing.
A manufacturer's warranty never replaces, reduces or overrides your statutory rights against us as the seller. If a warranty claim is refused, you may still have a claim under the Consumer Rights Act 2022.
7. What we cannot take back
- Goods damaged after delivery through misuse, accident or neglect
- Goods that have been modified, opened up, or repaired by anyone other than us or HyperShell
- Normal wear and tear
- Rentals and trial bookings — see our Rental Terms
8. Free take-back of old equipment (WEEE and batteries)
Electrical equipment and batteries must never go into a household bin.
When you buy an exoskeleton from us, you can give us one similar old item free of charge for recycling, on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis. Bring it to us at Blackrock Castle, Cork, or tell us when we arrange delivery and we will take it back then.
We also accept waste portable batteries from customers free of charge, whether or not you buy anything.
9. If you are not happy
Email info@exowalk.ie. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 10 working days.
If we cannot sort it out between us, you can contact the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) at ccpc.ie, or, if you are buying from another EU country, the European Consumer Centre Ireland at eccireland.ie.
10. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy takes away or limits your rights under Irish or EU consumer law.
Cancellation form
You only need to use this form if you want to. An email saying you wish to cancel does just as well.
